What do you need for setup?

I will need a table and chair with access to electricity for lighting. I will need to be set up in an area that is protected from wind and rain. If this is an outdoor event, let’s talk about possible accommodations.

How are the portraits made?

​

I take a photograph of your guests. I draw the individuals in ink and color them using fine art markers on 5x7" watercolor paper. I sign each portrait and package them with protective archival acetate sleeves.

How many portraits can you do?

​

I will complete a minimum of the amount outlined in your package. In the extenuating circumstances where I am unable to complete the number of portraits in your package on site, these will be completed within 7 days of the event in my studio and delivered to the host. If I am able to complete more in the time that I am scheduled to be at your event I absolutely will!

What if we would like additional portraits?

 

Additional portraits can be arranged at $25/individual to be completed off site within 7-14 days of the event. Photos for these portraits will be taken during the event. These will be delivered to the host.

What if the same person wants to be in multiple portraits? Or can I make 2 of the same drawings?

This will be discussed beforehand and decided by the host. I will gently and respectfully adhere to the hosts' discretion. 2 of the same drawings will still count towards the total number of portraits for the evening.

How many individuals can be in one drawing?

​

I would suggest groups of 3 or fewer, however, I can accommodate more.

What if a guest doesn't pick up their portrait at the event?

All portraits done during your event will be delivered to the host to arrange dispersal.

Can the host get a print(copy) of all of the portraits?

​

Yes, but here is what you need to know. Digitization costs $30 per piece. 5x7" prints may be purchased at $15 each. Digitization is completed within 7-14 days of the event. Original art and physical prints will be delivered to host. The host is then responsible for distributing the original pieces(or prints) to the guests. A digital album will be available for download. It is possible to request that only certain portraits be digitized.

How long will you be working?

​

I will arrive up to 30 minutes before an event to get set up. Event bookings will conclude by 10 pm. My breaks are minimal, but included in my time. (essentially 5 minutes/ hour + 15 minutes for a meal if over 4 hours). For example, if I am hired for a 4-hour event that starts at 6 pm, I will arrive around 5:30, take short breaks as needed or outlined in the contract, and begin breaking down my setup at 10 pm.

Will you travel?

​

I can travel North and South of Anchorage, essentially Wasilla-Girdwood. Please reach out if it is further than that to discuss arrangements.
